About this place

The bridge opened as a pedestrian walkway linking the two banks of the river, and stands out for its elegant arched design and its direct views of Canton Tower and the central business district. It is the first pedestrian bridge to cross the Pearl River (main span 198 m) and is regarded as one of the widest arched pedestrian bridges in the world; it links Canton Tower with Ersha Island and Zhujiang New Town.
