Chen Clan Academy (陈家祠) is a tourist site in the Lingnan region with strong cultural and artistic features. In 1988, it was declared a major heritage site under state protection by the Ministry of State. In 2002 and again in 2011, it was one of the “Eight Best Views of Guangzhou”. In 2006, it was named “the Cultural Representative of Guangzhou”. In 2008, the National Tourism Administration awarded it the title of AAAA-rated tourist site.
